NOW I'M TRAVELLIN'
I was on the inside, lookin' out,
I can't believe the kind of stuff I used to spout.
I was so convinced about the truth I'd got
I said, "I'm on the inside, but brother you're not".
Now I'm travellin', had enough of standin' still.
I do believe I'm exercisin' my free will.
Don't know where I'm gonna lay my head.
But I'll keep on travellin' 'til I end up dead.
Now l'm on the outside, lookin' in,
I don't believe in original sin.
I'm not sayin' that we're saints at all,
But I don't believe in Adam, so how could he fall'
Now I'm travellin', had enough of standin' still...
I was on the mountain top, lookin' down,
I belonged to Jesus from the good side of town.
You've heard people talk about 'holier than thou',
Well never mind that, just look at me now.
Now I'm travellin', had enough of standin' still...
Now I'm on the flatlands, lookin' up high,
And I'm gonna travel 'til the day that I die.
I don't think I'm any better than you,
I just want to ask the question till the answer rings true.
Now I'm travellin', had enough of standing still...
