TWO LEFT FEET
The dance floor is empty, the band starts to play,
I wanna dance but there's just no way.
I love the music, I love the beat,
But I was born with two left feet.
Oh-oh, I wanna dance, I wish I could,
I wanna jive, but it's no good.
There's only one thing that I can do,
That's hug the wall an' envy you.
I'm a permanent wallflower, I'm sittin' out,
I never got to twist an' shout.
The Mashed Potato just passed me by,
I could no more dance than I could fly.
Now everythin's different; you say you love me,
I'm feelin' so footloose an' fancy free.
It's quite a feat to get me out of my seat
An' dancin' on air with two left feet.
The world is my oyster, there's champagne on ice,
Just say that you love me again once or twice.
I love to hear it, I love the sound,
My two left feet just left the ground.
Oh-oh, I wanna dance, I wish I could,
I wanna jive, but it's no good.
There's only one thing that I can do,
That's buy a ring an' marry you.
